Middle Eastern women
Women in the Middle East are neglected that are not allowing them to participate in public affairs. In 1899 a guy named Qasim Amin wrote The Emancipation of Woman if called for new interpretations of the Quran with regard to limited divorce, polygamy, and wearing of the veils. Before leaving the country some couple have to take a class, the women needed a “true” education and better knowledge of the world, and the men needed to learn not to harass unveiled women. ‘We obey our husband… that is our culture’ said a 23-year-old.” Most husbands believe in the Pashto phase: a woman belongs in the house – or in a grave.
