Greetings and Salutations!

Meet the Teacher: At this point in my career, I am not a stranger to the Edgewood school district, As of 2026, I now enter my 16th year with the district. Previously, I spent seven memorable years of teaching 8th grade history at my alma-mater, Edcouch-Elsa ISD (Elsa, Texas). Since those days, I have established msyelf as a Senior member of the Kennedy Rocket family.

Upon graduating from Edcouch-Elsa high school, I left the Rio Grande Valley for the corn-fields of Grinnell, Iowa to attend a prestigious liberal arts college. In addition to receiving a quality education, Grinnell college offered me the opportunity to extended my athletic career another four years. I finished my athletic career having been part of a history-making football team. More importantly, I majored in History and graduated with a bachelor of arts.

I returned back to the Rio Grande Valley in 2001. After a briefly working towards my Masters in History, I began my teaching/coaching career. It would be a career move that I would never second-guess. It would only be a matter of time before I decided to leave the comforts of home and venture off to the city-life of San Antonio. Thankfully, Kennedy High School has welcomed me with arms wide open. I am scheduled to teach a course load that includes World History, AP World History and Government/Economics. For many years, I served as a football and track coach, but circumstances have come between my abilty to Coach for the Rockets.

As the 2026-27 school year is set to begin, I have high expectations that I will continue to have the successful career that I've experienced before and most definitely looking forward to making big contributions to Kennedy High School!
