2000 Football Award Banquet

This year's event was held at AJ's Steakhouse. A quality establishment that allows you to grill your own steaks (if that's your thing). In any case, I proudly announce that this year I was the recipent of the 2000 Offensive Lineman of the year award.

You must understand, I was complete surpised and tickled that I got the award. I was one of many great O-linemen. (granted there are only 5 of us, there wasn't that much competition). In any case, I still felt a sense of accomplishment.

I'm not quite sure who took this picture, but it certainly is a good one. It features all nine of the 2001 Senior memebers. We weren't a big senior squad (in fact we were about average), but we did have a great deal of heart.

Many people were awarded with some great honors. I am just happy to have been part of something really special.

As you would imagine, there is a funny story behind what you see. Of course, I think i'm going to save this one for my grandchildren.
