Alongside academics, Carlos F. Truan Jr. High prides itself in its athletic programs. In the last decade, CFT has seen its fair share of district championship titles in boy's football and basketball as well as girl's volleyball and Track. CFT strongly believes that it is establishing the foundation and building future Yellowjackets and Lady Yellowjackets champions. It is because of the dedication of the coaching staff and the determination of the athletes that Edcouch-Elsa has experienced such a long-standing dominance in virtually every sport in 32-4A.
